I'm excited to say that women’s wellness is entering a transformative phase in 2025 that blends the latest technology with a holistic focus, personalized medicine, and sustainable practices to address different health needs.
Women’s wellness in 2025 will be marked by innovation, inclusivity, and sustainability. Gone are the days of a one-size-fits-all approach to wellbeing. From menopause management to cycle syncing, the newest health trends are redefining how women can thrive at every life stage.
Below, we'll explore the key wellness innovations that promise to revolutionize women’s health in the coming year.
11 Women's Wellness Trends for 2025
1. Health Tracking Wearables: Tracking Women’s Unique Health Needs
About one-third of adults1 in the U.S. regularly use wearable healthcare devices, including smartwatches or fitness trackers. The rise of such devices is making it more achievable than ever for women to take control of their health with real-time data. Advanced health-tracking wearables—whether rings, watches, or other devices—monitor everything from ovulation and menstrual cycles to sleep patterns and stress levels.
Certain wearable brands are even paving the way for women's health with devices designed specifically for women, addressing concerns like maternal health, perimenopause, postpartum recovery, and fertility.
For example, some devices can support cycle syncing. In this growing trend, women align their workouts, nutrition, and self-care routines with their hormonal phases for optimized wellness throughout the month.
2. Near Infrared Therapy: A Gentle Approach to Healing
The use of infrared saunas and light therapy is becoming a go-to solution for women seeking natural ways to boost their recovery and cellular health, as well as the appearance of their skin and their overall well-being.
A number of different infrared devices are now available, some of which can be used right from home, including those featuring functional near-infrared spectroscopy and near-infrared light therapy.
I personally use the Lume Box in managing my endometriosis and thyroid health. I love it because it is easy to transport with me and can help with minor aches and pains that can come from travel.
The benefits of these technologies can include promoting better circulation and muscle recovery, collagen production, and skin health, as well as offering pain relief, including for conditions like injuries, arthritis, and endometriosis.
Infrared saunas are also gaining traction for their other holistic benefits, such as detoxification, improved gut health, and reduced inflammation.
Do saunas burn fat, and are saunas for weight loss effective? While they're not a magic bullet for weight loss, they can help with exercise performance and stress management, making them useful for overall fitness and relaxation.
3. Saunas and Cold Plunges: Contrast Therapy for Mental & Physical Health
Contrast therapy, which alternates between heat from saunas and the invigorating chill of cold plunges, is making waves as a powerful tool for women’s mental and physical health.
Saunas help boost circulation, reduce inflammation, and detoxify the body, while cold plunges stimulate the nervous system and can improve mood and recovery. Together, they create a balanced approach to wellness that supports hormonal balance, reduced stress, and improved energy levels.
I invested in a Sunlighten Sauna after reading through the research on the benefits of saunas, including improving cardiovascular health.
For women navigating conditions like perimenopause or recovering postpartum, contrast therapy can be particularly beneficial. The heat from hot saunas helps alleviate joint pain and improve mood, while cold plunges can sharpen focus and reduce swelling.
Beyond the physical benefits, this practice also fosters resilience by challenging the body to adapt to temperature extremes, promoting resilience and confidence.
4. AI for Women’s Health
The integration of AI into healthcare is revolutionizing women’s wellness in certain ways, such as by offering personalized menstrual cycle insights and AI-driven diagnostic tools for detecting different conditions, such as PCOS or hypothyroidism, for example.
For example, AI-powered apps can analyze hormonal fluctuations to provide tailored recommendations for managing symptoms of perimenopause, endometriosis, and postpartum recovery. These tools also help women track their cycles more accurately, optimizing cycle syncing strategies, and can help track food intake to assist in weight loss.
AI-driven platforms are also advancing the detection and management of conditions like ADHD and autism in women, which are often underdiagnosed due to gender biases in traditional diagnostic criteria. By leveraging datasets and machine learning, these systems can identify subtle patterns that are unique to women and offer earlier interventions and better support.
Additionally, AI assists in improving access to care through virtual health assistants, personalized chatbots, and telemedicine platforms. These services make healthcare more convenient, especially for women balancing careers, family, and personal wellness, and are often more affordable, too.
5. Personalized Medicine: Tailored Solutions for Different Needs
The era of personalized medicine is here, or at least underway. Some clinics now offer tailored treatments based on genetics, lifestyle, and biomarkers rather than treating all patients in the same ways.
Women can now receive solutions for their unique hormonal imbalances, such as menopause hormone therapy or holistic birth control options, such as help with the “fertility awareness method” or non-hormonal copper IUDs instead of the pill.
DNA-based insights are also shaping wellness trends for women. For example, personalized nutrition plans can help people cope with allergies or intolerances, improve gut microbiome health, and support better digestion, immunity, and even mental clarity.

6. Sustainable Wellness: Reducing Environmental Impact
Roughly 35% of American consumers2 are looking for products that are free from harmful chemicals, according to recent surveys.
As awareness grows about the environmental impact of wellness products, women are seeking sustainable foods, supplements, and practices that are good for their bodies as well as the planet. This includes carbon-certified supplements, eco-friendly packaging, and non-toxic personal care items, such as those made without endocrine-disrupting chemicals.
Transparency in supplement, beauty, and household products—such as tampons, deodorants, toothpaste, and more—is becoming a greater priority for women who want to support brands that align with their values and offer safe alternatives to conventional items.
At Dr. Brighten Essentials, we are committed to sustainability and have certified several of our products as carbon neutral. We are continuing into 2025 to get the entire supplement offering, which are also in eco-friendly glass bottles, into the carbon neutral category.
7. Perimenopause and Menopause Wellness: Supporting Women Through Life's Transitions
More than 1 million women3 in the United States experience menopause each year— and the conversation around menopause wellness is finally gaining momentum. Women are welcoming the help of natural perimenopause and menopause supplements, retreats focusing on emotional and physical renewal, and tailored menopause vitamins and herbs for symptom relief.
With options like menopause hormone therapy and non-hormonal approaches such as the use of herbs, women are finding solutions that suit their unique needs. Many are also focused on breaking stigmas about aging and menopause and instead reclaiming their confidence and well-being during this transformative life stage.
As a doctor who teaches doctors, I spent 2024 engaged in training physicians on how to deliver better care to perimenopause and menopause women. I am taking those lectures to my podcast, The Dr. Brighten Show, in a simplified and digestible format so you can get in on everything I’ve been sharing with medical providers.
8. Addressing ADHD and Autism in Women
Approximately one in twenty women4 in the U.S. have ADHD, although ADHD and autism have been historically underdiagnosed in women. Fortunately, women with these conditions are finally receiving the attention they deserve.
This shift leads to better diagnostic tools and resources tailored to women’s unique experiences. I spent 2024 educating providers on the unique ways that ADHD and autism can manifest in women, including during menopause, and how women's symptoms and most effective treatments can differ from those seen in men. I will continue this education endeavor into 2025.
Notable progress is being made in supporting women’s mental health, emotional wellness, and social inclusion, making this a pivotal moment in healthcare.
9. Wellness Travel: Rejuvenation Beyond Borders
Wellness travel is on the rise as more women are choosing to disconnect and focus on self-care and stress relief. As of 2022, about 8% of all tourism trips5 were wellness-related, such as with the goal in mind of reducing stress and burnout.
From solo wellness retreats to holistic wellness vacations, these experiences combine physical and mental health practices like fitness and meditation with immersive environments that can help restore balance.
Destinations offering programs centered around emotional wellness, gut health, time in nature, and even nitch practices like sleep yoga provide women with tailored options to recharge and reconnect with themselves.

10. Prioritizing Sleep: The Foundation of Wellness
For many women with busy schedules and long to-do lists, prioritizing sleep is now a cornerstone of self-care and health—especially because of the sleep-hormone connection. More women are turning to innovative solutions like sleep vitamins and sleep-promoting supplements, advanced mattresses, and guided meditations.
Sleep hygiene is being reframed as a non-negotiable practice for overall well-being, with retreats and workshops focused on mindfulness, relaxation, and embodiment practices offering practical tools for better rest.
11. Avoiding Endocrine Disruptors: A Clean Living Revolution
Growing awareness of endocrine-disrupting chemicals is driving women to eliminate their exposure to harmful chemicals like phthalates and parabens found in plastics and many beauty products.
Avoiding endocrine disruptors in food and products is becoming a priority for many women (and men) to help maintain hormonal health, support fertility and long-term wellness, and aid in reproductive and microbiome health.
This clean living revolution is reshaping the beauty and wellness industries in many ways as it's inspiring a shift towards more natural, organic, and safer formulations. For instance, organic brands that make products with fewer and cleaner ingredients are on the rise.
Final Thoughts on 2025 Health Trends
Whether it’s leveraging health-tracking wearables, trying near infrared therapy, or exploring wellness travel, the focus in 2025 is on empowering women to live healthier, more balanced lives. By addressing women's unique challenges throughout the stages of their lives and celebrating progress, the future of women’s health looks brighter than ever.
