The official rules for the ADHD & Women pre-order giveaway

Pre-orders decide how far this book travels. They tell retailers how many copies to stock and tell the publisher whether a second print run is worth it — and that decides how many women who have been dismissed and overlooked finally get answers. This giveaway is my way of thanking you for being part of that: fifteen of you will join me for a live group Q&A call, and one of you and I will spend a private hour together.

These rules are written in plain language on purpose. Read them once and you will know both ways to enter, what the prizes are and are not, and exactly what happens after entries close. Nothing here is meant to trip you up.

1 · No purchase necessary

A lottery is a game you have to pay to play. This giveaway is not a lottery, and it is built so it never becomes one:

You never have to buy anything to enter or to win. Pre-ordering the book is one way to enter — not the only way, and not a better way.
Entry never requires payment, a newsletter signup, or a social follow.
The free entry path takes about the same effort as the purchase path, and the odds are identical.

Every prize is awarded the same way whether an entrant bought the book or entered for free.

This giveaway is sponsored by Brighten Wellness, LLC (the “Sponsor”), the media and publishing company behind Dr. Jolene Brighten’s platforms, located at 2800 N 6th St, Unit 1 PMB 953, Saint Augustine, FL 32084. The Sponsor runs the giveaway, selects the winners, and delivers the prizes.

The book is published by a third-party publisher, and it is sold by third-party retailers. The publisher and the retailers are not sponsors of this giveaway and have no role in selecting or notifying winners.

3 · The prizes

Sixteen people win in total: fifteen seats on one group call, and one private strategy call.

Prize 1 — A seat on the live group Q&A call (15 winners)

One seat on a single live group video call with Dr. Brighten, 60 to 75 minutes, held mid-to-late October 2026. The exact date and time are still to be scheduled on Dr. Brighten’s calendar and will be announced to winners. You can submit questions in advance and ask live during the call.

Approximate retail value (ARV): $250.

No cash value. Non-transferable. No substitution.
All scheduling dates and times are at Dr. Brighten’s sole discretion.
If you cannot attend at the scheduled time, you may submit questions in advance. The call is not recorded. A private makeup call is not guaranteed and cannot be rescheduled on request.

This call is an educational session, not medical care. See §11 for what that means.

Prize 2 — A private 1:1 strategy call (1 winner)

One private 60-minute video call with Dr. Brighten to work through your top questions. It is scheduled by mutual availability within about 30 days of winner verification. The call is not recorded.

Approximate retail value (ARV): $600.

No cash value. Non-transferable. No substitution.
Scheduling is by mutual availability within Dr. Brighten’s calendar windows, at her sole discretion.

This call is an educational session, not medical care. See §11 for what that means.

Total approximate retail value of all prizes: $4,350 (15 × $250 + $600).

One prize per person. The prize is the call itself — a copy of the book is not included, and winners still buy (or have already bought) their own copy.

If a prize becomes unavailable for reasons beyond the Sponsor’s control, the Sponsor may substitute a prize of comparable value or reschedule the call.

4 · When to enter

Entries open Friday, August 28, 2026 at 12:01 a.m. Eastern Time and close Sunday, August 30, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time.

The timestamp recorded by the entry form — or, for free email entries, the time the email is received — decides whether an entry arrived in time.

Pre-orders made at any point before October 6, 2026 count — including orders placed before entries even open.

5 · Who can enter

Legal residents of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia.
Age 18 or older at the time of entry.
Individuals only. A bulk or organizational purchase (for speaking events, brand partners, and the like) is a commercial order: the organization is not an entrant. The individual reader who ordered their own copy at retail is.
Entries from outside the eligible area, and entries from people who self-report as under 18, are removed before the draw.
Void where prohibited by law.

6 · How to enter

There are two ways to enter. Both ask for the same basic information; only one includes purchase details. Both carry identical odds.

Steps 2–3 and the fine-print note below describe the preorder bonus form as it must ship for the entry window (name, email, retailer, order number, 18+/US/rules confirmations, optional unchecked newsletter opt-in). The promo strategy lists this as STILL OPEN — confirm with the WordPress team before removing the draft banner.

Pre-order any format of ADHD & Women from any retailer, at any time before the close of this giveaway. Early pre-orders count, and you do not need to wait for the book to ship — digital orders, backorders, and pre-order charges all qualify.
Submit the preorder bonus form on drbrighten.com/adhd-and-women during the entry window. It asks for your name, email address, and your pre-order details (retailer and order number).
Confirm the eligibility statements on the form: 18 or older, US resident, and agreement to these official rules.

The preorder bonus form is the giveaway entry form: submitting it claims your pre-order bonuses and enters you in the giveaway in the same step. Order details are checked only for drawn winners, during eligibility verification.

How to enter for free

No purchase necessary. A free way to enter is provided. Purchase does not increase odds of winning.

Email [email protected] with the subject line GIVEAWAY ENTRY. Include your full name, email address, and state of residence — nothing about a purchase is required. Email entries must be received by August 30, 2026, 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time. It takes about the same effort as the purchase path, and your odds are identical.

A few rules about entries

One entry per person, no matter how many copies, formats, or retailers you ordered through. Duplicate entries are removed before the draw, keeping each person’s earliest entry.
The newsletter checkbox on the preorder bonus form is optional and starts unchecked. Skipping it does not affect your entry in any way, and free email entries involve no newsletter choice at all.
Entry never requires a newsletter signup or a social follow.
Bulk or organizational purchases do not create entries (see §5).
The Sponsor may disqualify any entry or entrant that tampers with the entry process, violates these official rules, uses multiple email addresses or identities to get around the one-entry limit, or acts fraudulently or abusively.

7 · Your odds of winning

Odds depend on the number of eligible entries received.

8 · How winners are chosen

After entries close, all eligible entries are compiled into a numbered list. Duplicate entries are removed (each person’s earliest entry is kept), and entries that do not meet eligibility are excluded.
On October 6–7, 2026, winners are drawn at random using a verifiable third-party randomizer applied to that numbered list. The draw is documented: date and time, the tool used, the number of entrants, and the full resulting order.
The Prize 2 winner (private 1:1 call) is drawn first, from all eligible entries. That entrant is then removed, and the 15 Prize 1 winners (group-call seats) are drawn from the remaining entries. One prize per person.
Alternates are drawn in the same session and held in a documented order.

No one hand-picks winners, and no entry is weighted. The draw is pure chance.

9 · How winners are notified

Winners are notified by email at the address on their entry, beginning October 7, 2026. If there is no reply, up to two follow-up attempts are made.
Winners must confirm acceptance within 48 hours of the first notification.
To be confirmed, each winner signs an affidavit of eligibility and a liability release, provides a completed W-9, and — unless they decline — signs a publicity release. All of it is due within 3 business days of the acceptance notice.
Prizes are awarded only after this paperwork is complete. Winners are responsible for any taxes on the value of their prize.
If a winner is ineligible, unreachable, declines, or misses a deadline, the next alternate in the documented draw order is contacted through this same process. Every substitution is logged.

One more thing, for your protection: we will never ask a winner for payment, gift cards, or any fee to receive a prize. If a message claiming to be from us asks for those, it is not from us.

10 · How winners’ names are used

Publicly naming a winner happens only after they have returned the signed publicity release. Named winners appear as first name, last initial, and state — nothing more. Health information is never shared, and no winner is quoted publicly unless the winner volunteers a statement after signing a release.

Declining the publicity release never forfeits the prize. A winner who declines is simply not named; the announcement notes the number of winners and that they were randomly selected.

11 · These calls are education, not medical care

Both prizes are time with Dr. Brighten in an educational setting, and that comes with a clear boundary. It applies to both the group call and the private call:

The calls are educational and informational strategy sessions. They are not medical care and are not a substitute for medical care.
Dr. Brighten will not diagnose, treat, or prescribe on these calls.
The calls do not create a provider–patient relationship, and they are not billed to insurance.
Anything health-related you share, you share voluntarily and at your own discretion.
You are encouraged to bring whatever comes up on the call back to your own licensed providers.

12 · How your information is used

Entry information is used only to run the giveaway: confirming entries, removing duplicates, drawing and verifying winners, and delivering prizes.
The newsletter opt-in on the entry form is optional and starts unchecked. It is a separate choice from entering, and any email you later receive includes an unsubscribe.
Entry data is kept for 60 days after the prizes are fulfilled, then deleted — except for records the Sponsor must keep for legal or tax purposes, such as winners’ tax forms, which are retained as long as the law requires.
California residents may request details about how their personal information is handled by writing to the Sponsor at the address above; see also the Sponsor’s Privacy Policy posted on drbrighten.com.

To request the winners’ names (first name, last initial, and state), mail a self-addressed stamped envelope to Brighten Wellness, LLC, 2800 N 6th St, Unit 1 PMB 953, Saint Augustine, FL 32084, so that it is received by October 31, 2026.

13 · The fine print

Entering the giveaway means agreeing to these official rules.
This giveaway is void where prohibited by law.
By entering, each entrant releases and holds harmless the Sponsor and its owners, officers, employees, and agents from any liability, loss, injury, or damage arising from participation in this giveaway or from the acceptance, possession, use, or misuse of any prize. Sponsor is not responsible for lost, late, incomplete, misdirected, or undeliverable entries, or for technical failures of the entry forms, except where prohibited by law.
If for any reason the giveaway cannot run as planned — including tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other cause that impairs the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of the giveaway — the Sponsor reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to cancel, terminate, modify, or suspend the giveaway and award the prizes from among the eligible entries received before the impairment.
The Sponsor also reserves the right to correct any typographical, printing, or other errors in these official rules or in any promotional materials.
Governing law and venue: These official rules are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. The exclusive venue for any dispute arising out of or connected with this giveaway is the state and federal courts located in Saint Johns County, Florida, and each entrant submits to the jurisdiction of those courts.
